About	Redwood Regional Park is one of the best hiking trails located in Oakland. The park has 1,830 acres of Sprawling forest. The park includes evergreens, pine trees, and grasslands. Horseback riding is accessible on almost 40 miles of trails through the park. The bay area's national trail and ridge path east bay skyline pass through redwood for part of its 31-mile course. There is a play platform for children about one-quarter mile down Stream Trail from the staging area of Canyon Meadow. Redwood Regional Park has four reservable picnic spots ranging from 50 to 150 for groups. Inside the park, there are many groups of overnight camping areas. Redwood Regional Park features redwood groves & rare wildlife, plus trails, picnic areas, and campsites. The picnic sites are also accessible to persons with disabilities. Several groups' overnight camping areas are located within the park.
