About | Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area offers attractive opportunities for travelers to walk and ride bicycles. The park's trail path links to the regional path of the Alameda Creek, which runs from the Niles canyon west to the coyote hills and the Don Edwards wildlife sanctuary on the bay of San Francisco. It is a stunning water-oriented leisure area, offering more activities, including picnicking and boating. Tourists can swim at the authorized beach, have a picnic, play volleyball, fish, and enjoy watercraft powered by non-gasoline. On a first-come, first-served basis, one beach wheelchair is available at no charge. The Natural Unit includes Willow Slough and Lago Los Osos and the surrounding areas, where tourists can hike, observe nature, stroll dogs and ride bicycles. Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area is easy to walk, skip rocks at a lake, and have safe fun. The recreation area has plenty of drinking water fountains and restrooms. |
