About | Coyote Hills Regional Park is a regional park that covers 1,266 acres of marshland and growing grassland-lined hills. It was started using by the public in 1967. Bicycling, walking, and bird-watching are by far the most common visitor activities. The rich and varied history of this park also includes activities related to mission, settler ranching, and agriculture. Coyote Hills Regional Park has the site of Tuibun Ohlone Village, which is more than 2,000 years old. Hikes through Coyote Hills provide scenic views of the San Francisco Bay and Southern Alameda County surrounding areas. Tourists can join a family house, a sweat house, and shade shelter in Ohlone style. The park features two picnic areas first-come-first-served. There is one reservable campground for groups. Coyote Hills Regional Park is used every season of the year; spring, summer, and fall tend to be the most popular. |
