About | Bonnet House museum is a historic house museum on 35 acres on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Chicago-born artist Frederic Clay Bartlett created it on South Florida's oceanfront land in 1920. Its mission is to preserve this unique historic estate of Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett. The American Museums Association accredits the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. It links today's society with the Bartletts' architectural, artistic, and environmental heritage through pleasant and enriching cultural interactions.
