| About | Nauticus is a maritime-themed museum and science center located on the downtown waterfront in Norfolk, Virginia. This place is a contemporary museum that uses the natural setting of Norfolk's harbor to exhibit global maritime commerce and the world's most oversized Navy. The museum includes the Battleship Wisconsin and fun, interactive exhibits focused on the marine world and environment. The maritime exhibits include aquaria, a horseshoe crab touch tank, Science On a Sphere, a shark lab, NOAA exhibits, and a weather station. The shark lab is home to four sharks of three different species. There are two male white-spotted bamboo sharks, one male epaulette shark, and one female brown-banded bamboo shark. They also feature hands-on shows, interactive theaters, digital high-definition films, and extensive educational programs. |
