| About | Ramon Peralta Adobe represents the Santa Ana Canyon past from the first Spanish explorers to the region from 1769 to the present. The Ramon Peralta Adobe is located on land that once was part of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana. The Peralta Adobe was the oldest adobe site in Canyon; it is still standing in the Santa Ana canyon today. Historical displays are available for public viewing, including on-site excavated artifacts and a mural timeline. A well-furnished period room and numerous photographs are in an exhibition that traces the Canyon's first settlers' history. The adobe would become a storage room for the Canyon Cafe as Santa Ana Canyon Road traffic grew until the 1950s. The adobe acted as a dwelling for the café operating family and was later linked to the café framework. |
