About	Dr. Kevin Kia has a long history of academic excellence. He grew up in Michigan, and in 1998 graduated from Utica High School as a Valedictorian. He was accepted into the University of Michigan's prestigious combined undergraduate-medical degree program. He finished his Michigan internship and then came to UT-Southwestern to complete his Dermatology residency. Dr. Kia is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He serves as an editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kia is very interested in teaching and research and has accepted an appointment at UT-Southwestern as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology. He is a frequent speaker at the American Academy of Dermatology where he educates the value of cost-effective treatment to other dermatologists. Dr. Kia is committed to improving his patients' lives and advancing the dermatology industry.
