About	Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya is located in the heart of South Mumbai near the Gateway of India. This museum is one of the country's premier cultural institutions. It was built in Indo-Saracenic style architecture, surrounded by a garden of palm trees and formal flower beds. The museum earned first place from the Indian Heritage Society for maintaining the building correctly. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya holds about 50,000 artefacts and has an outstanding array of sculptures. Several artefacts have been acquired from Seth Purshottam Mavji, Karl and Meherbai Khandalavala and the Archaeological Survey of India. The tour inside the museum offers a variety of learning experiences through conferences, orientations, teacher training workshops, and seminars for schools. The museum building is wheelchair accessible.
