About	National Rail Museum is constructed in an 11-acre area that features historical exhibits and artefacts, including an 1855 steam locomotive. It displays exhibits on the history of rail transport in India. The museum is designed as an octagonal building that houses six-show galleries and a large open display area designed to simulate a railway yard environment. It has a state-of-art auditorium that can seat up to 200 persons. National Rail Museum has exhibits of the 163 years of the historical heritage of Indian Railways. The museum has a maximum number of rail simulators anywhere in the world. The visitors can enjoy the toy train trips and 3D virtual reality experiences in the newly built heritage restaurant. Rail Museum's artefacts include diesel, electric locos, and royal saloons. The museum also organises a summer camp each year.
