About | Fredericton Region Museum is a gateway into central New Brunswick's great history and diverse heritage. It was founded in 1934 by the York Sunbury Historical Society. You can read about Fredericton's history, central New Brunswick, the origin of the Coleman Frog, and the oldest human-made artifact in New Brunswick. As well, you might have some unexpected fun. This Society and Museum remain a non-profit enterprise with a small paid staff and numerous volunteers. The museum is a fun and fascinating place to look at history, with over 4,000 square feet of display space and a collection of over 30,000 artifacts.
