| About | Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) at the western end of Lake Ontario has been an ecological treasure for over 80 years. It was established to serve both as a regional botanical tourist destination and an environmental agency. It has gained national and international credibility as a living science laboratory, a meeting point for children in their early embrace of nature, a pioneer in ecological gardening, and the standard-bearer for environmental restoration and protection of plants. The garden features 5 cultivated garden areas and 2,400 acres of natural sanctuaries. It is the sprawling gardens with different flowers blooming from May to October, events and an arboretum. Visitors can explore 2,400+ plant species and 312,000+ individual plants. Members of the garden can get specialty food, gift, and program discounts. Royal Botanical Gardens offers free admission for children age four and under. |
