| About | Cathédrale Marie-Reine-Du-Monde church went through two significant stages from 1870 to 1878 and from 1885 to 1894. The construction of the cathedral was ordered by Mgr. Ignace Bourget, second bishop of Montreal. The church has always worked with the gifts of the faithful, and the message that of the Word of Faith is essential today, and each donation is vital and contributes to its mission. Cathédrale Marie-Reine-Du-Monde's architectural style of the nave, the coffered vault in white and gilded wood, and the baldachin with twisted columns remain fascinating. The curvatures of the intersecting vaults almost took the star from the many paintings and gildings of 23 carats. The church is located at 1085 Cathedral Street at the corner of René Lévesque Boulevard and Metcalfe Street, near the Bonaventure metro station and Central Station in downtown Montreal. |
