About | Golden Dragon Museum was opened in 1991 to document, interpret and preserve Chinese heritage in Australia. It houses Bendigo's famous parade dragons, historic Chinese processional costumes, and artefacts from China's rich cultural heritage. The Museum provides supervised access to a wide variety of public spaces and behind-the-scenes sites; its important scientific specimens and cultural objects are rarely loaned to commercial filmmaking or photography. Golden Dragon Museum is available for viewing the local history and also provides professional workshops and training publications. It is available with a cultural complex with Chinese history displays, including a traditional garden, tearoom and gift shop. |
