| About | Archer Park Railway Museum is a historic former railway station and has become a transport museum at Denison Street, Rockhampton. A rare French Purrey steam tram was restored and became the main attraction of the museum. It has a vast number of exciting rail exhibits, including a C17 Steam Engine, Diesel Engine 1614. This heritage rail carriages from 1903 and 1921 and a fantastic soundscape bring the 1930s. The station building is a single-storeyed chamfer board structure sustained on brick or timber stumps. The building has a hipped roof of corrugated iron, with galvanised iron ridge ventilators, hidden behind a parapet that surmounts a deep entablature. The main entrance has paired timber panelled doors flanked by hinged timber side panels and a large arched glass fanlight surmounted. |
