| About | The Rockhampton Heritage Village is one of the most popular places for travellers in Central Queensland. There is a wide variety of original and replica buildings in this village. They have restored vintage vehicles and machinery, the old schoolhouse, doll collection, fire station, and an extensive herb garden. It also has memorabilia and artefacts portraying life in the region from the 1850s to the 1950s. At Heritage Village, you will see vintage vehicles, a hall of clocks, timber cutters camp, a blacksmith shop, homesteads and cottages. In the Hall of Clocks, there is also a fantastic selection of timepieces, a set of dolls and a great vintage range of cars. There are a number of clocks on display, with the oldest clock produced dating back to 1630. All buildings have been constructed on-site, including all the roof trusses, which are handmade. All the support beams have been sunk 2 meters into the ground to avoid destruction from a cyclone. |
