About	A traditional cafeteria, the Best Steak House has been serving up excellent steaks in Midtown St. Louis since 1964. They serve a delicious menu of steak dishes and more. The grill sizzles seven days a week with steaks, burgers, pork chops, and chicken. Other favorites include fried fish or shrimp. Even with salad, Texas-toast, and baked potato, the price stays in the $7-$15 range. A gyros sandwich is on the list as a tribute to the Greek culture of the founder, Dean Kases, though the St. Louis institution is now served by son Dean Jr. and son-in-law Phil Schreiber.
