About	Metropolitan Park is an 18.25-acre urban waterfront, multi-purpose, and family-orientated park located in Jacksonville. It is a multi-purpose park for family enjoyment, including concerts, plays, performances, talent shows, and other group gatherings. The park has boat docking facilities with 78 boat slips. There are six covered picnic shelters and 43 picnic tables, three permanent restroom facilities and water fountains, a children's play area, bicycle racks, grills, and security lighting for night use. Metropolitan Park has hosted numerous events that include many famous entertainers. It is a large park with a variety of activities. There is a dog park, a pool, a lake, multiple fields, and it is simply a pleasant location to visit in the city.
