About | Gilbert Historical Museum is a house for the Arts, Music & Heritage of Gilbert. It is the only one National Register of Historic Places of earliest buildings still existing in Gilbert. The Gilbert Historical Society has been in existence since 1960 and was founded in 1979 but had no formal structure to call it it's own. When the school closed in 1977, and the building became accessible, the Historical Society rented it to the Gilbert Historical Museum is committed to protecting the past, shaping the present, and contributing to East Valley's prosperity. Make sure you don't miss their patio, packed with genuine farm equipment, some of which dates back to the earliest days of Gilbert. They give out free admission for children under the age of 5. Gilbert Historical Museum welcomes you to explore the past, experience the present, and imagine the future. |
