About | The Museum of Local History showcases life in the Tri-City region when it was a farming and ranching community & then changed to suburban. Its mission is to protect Southern Alameda County (Fremont, Newark, Union City) memories, documents, artifacts, including structures from the past, and share them with present/future generations. The museum provides field trip opportunities for 3rd and 4th-grade students studying state and local history. Visitors can also make your visit informative, enjoyable, and fun. There are two tours, Docent-Led and Self-Guided. They offer guided tours of Higuera Adobe Historical Park. Also, Docent-led tours for children include adobe doll making, brick making, branding, etc. The Museum of Local History offers free admission to all of its events. |
