| About | The Museum of Life and Science is an 84-acre science museum located in Durham, NC. The mission of the museum is to create a place of lifelong learning. It is formerly known as the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science and the NC Children's Museum. The Museum of Life and Science houses a collection of hand-crafted exhibits designed to ignite curiosity and wonder. It is one of the largest butterfly houses on the East Coast, with more than 60 species of live animals and more; every visit is a new adventure for the visitors. The farm allows visitors to see how zoos provide animal stimulation and the weekly up-close experience of animal keepers. You can exhibit Hideaway Woods, Aerospace, BioQuest, Magic Wings Butterfly House, and Dinosaur Trail. Children (Ages 2 & under) and members of this museum can get free admission. |
