AboutLiving Coast Discovery Center is a San Diego Bay non-profit zoo and aquarium in San Diego Bay. Visitors can explore the endangered sea turtles, eagles, sharks, owls, snakes, falcons, and lizards. Tourists also can follow their path along the 1.5 miles of walking trails of the refuge. LCDC is an opportunity to explore the plants and animals on the 316 acres of sweetwater marsh national wildlife refuge in Southern California. Over 29,000 school kids are enjoying field trips here. They create visitors an ideal environment to explore the incredible plants and animals that call home their coastal area. Their free shuttle runs on a 15-minute loop and will carry you across the National Wildlife Refuge at Sweetwater Marsh. It provides field trips, outreach, scouting, and other community education programs. Complimentary guest parking is available.
