| About | Zilker Botanical Garden was founded in 1955 is a non-profit organization. Zilker Botanical Garden is located on 28 acres nestled within Zilker Metropolitan Park in the heart of downtown Austin. This garden is a unique partnership between the Parks & Recreation Department Austin City (PARD) and the Garden Council of Austin Area (AAGC). The garden is open to the people most days of the year and is enjoyed annually by more than 300,000 people. It has more than 125,000 visitors a year enjoying the park most days of the year, including thousands of school kids from Austin and the surrounding areas. The green room and auditorium at the garden center can be used for dinners, groups, and meetings. It affords free entry for children (ages 2 & under). |
