About	Dr. Joel R. Politi is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Columbus. He obtained his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. He finished his residency at the Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, and did his fellowship at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He was one of the first surgeons in central Ohio to perform outpatient or same-day total joint replacement. Dr. Joel focuses on performing joint replacements and reconstructions. He helps people to improve their mobility, relieve their pain, and regain their quality of life. Dr. Joel has founded COSI's Surgical Suite for Total Knee Arthroplasty program that allows students in high schools throughout the country to watch a live surgery through interactive media since the program has reached more than 100,000 students. He has numerous publications in leading orthopedic journals and regularly presents on a local, regional and national level.
