About	Dr. Mark R. Shaya is a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurosurgeon (Diplomate of the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons) with over 20 years of operative experience. He completed his medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit and his general surgery internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He performed a residency at Louisiana State University. He currently practices at Neurosurgical Institute of Florida and is affiliated with Doctors Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Aventura Hospital, Coral Gables Hospital, and North Shore Medical Center. Dr. Shaya provides services to thousands of patients with hundreds of successful surgical procedures each year, and he has presented topics at many national and international neurosurgery meetings.
