About	Dr. Benjamin R. Gelber got his medical degree from the New York Upstate Medical University in 1973, and he has been in practice for 45 years. Dr. Benjamin completed a straight surgery internship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester. He finished a residency in general surgery at S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical College and in neurosurgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He currently practices at Neurological & Spinal Surgery and is affiliated with Bryan LGH Medical Center West and CHI Saint Elizabeth. Dr. Benjamin has a special interest in performing brain tumors, cerebrovascular, and trauma surgeries. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He is well-trained in gamma knife radiosurgery and deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's disease, surgery of the brain, spine, peripheral nerves.
