| About | Central Music Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that gives free musical training in all areas of musical performance and to all levels of learners in Lexington, Kentucky. Their dedicated teachers have given over 45,000 free lessons to more than 1,500 students. Central Music Academy offers private and group lessons. CMA's curricular goals include building basic music appreciation and introducing world culture. The school has provided a structured environment and further developed self-discipline through instrument practice. They offer jazz improvisation classes, a clarinet choir, a class for pre-school-aged children in partnership with the UK Music therapy department, a CMA rock band, a steel band, a ukulele class, and a bluegrass ensemble. CMA hosts string and summer camps. |
