About	Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is a trendy eatery that serves Mexican favorites, including tacos and tortas, in casual environs. In 2012, Dave and Chrissy Lorenz began Mex 1 Coastal Cantina near the Avondale area of Highway 61 in West Ashley, SC. Mex 1 is a casual Baja-style, surf-inspired Coastal Cantina. Their goal is to serve fresh, flavorful Baja Mexican cuisine and premium tequilas in a friendly, laidback environment. Mex 1 takes pride in serving fresh, locally sourced produce, much of which is found right here in South Carolina's court. All their food is free of heavy sauces, and their chicken and pork are smoked on-site. Mex 1 uses only 100% agave tequila, and all margaritas are prepared with freshly squeezed juices.
