The goal of counseling is to help people gain new insights and skills from having gone through hard times. People become stronger and better because they have been through things that have taught patience & persistence. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, they use video connections like Face-Time and Zoom. By using telehealth, counseling has become easier to access; people no longer have to fight traffic & spend extra hours traveling to get counseling. Both daytime and evening appointments are available. Richard Ward is the founder of Acorn Christian Counseling which has provided services in Corpus Christi for 20 years. He specializes in specific techniques for improving communication and decreasing conflict. He teaches clients to learn skills that help to reduce anxiety & depression.
