| About | The Reynolda House Museum of American Art exhibits a premier collection of American art ranging from colonial to the present. The house initially occupied a 1,067-acre estate center. Charles Barton Keen, who had obtained notable success designing homes in New York and Pennsylvania, was the architect of the main house and the village that included a church, stables, and a school on the estate. The house contains one of the country's finest American paintings and a permanent American art and sculpture collection from three centuries. The artists present in the collection include Mary Cassatt, Jacob Lawrence, Frederic Church, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Gilbert Stuart. |
