| About | Tulsa Fire Museum is one of the best Art Deco buildings in Tulsa. The house contains Terra cotta frieze work, which was based on detailing the award-winning Mayan temple design by Kershner. The building was used as the new headquarters in 2000. The building is notable for its intricate architecture and its fire-related theme portrayals. The entrance had big, matching lanterns in deco style. It has since been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Renovations took five years, including a capital effort of $5 million. |
