About | The John Marshall House is a National Historic Landmark and historic house museum in Richmond. It is the most extensive collection of original Marshall family pieces. The historic house museum was the home of Chief Justice of the United States John Marshall, appointed to the court in 1801 by President John Adams and served for the rest of his life. The guided tours of the home offer an in-depth look at the development of the American government through the lens of the federal judiciary. The Federal-style brick house initially combined several outbuildings. The visitors enjoy a guided tour, stroll the garden, and visit the museum shop. |
