AboutHeritage Farmstead Museum is the most exciting place of living history in northern Texas, illustrating the black-land prairie region. This homestead was a showplace with three barns and several outbuildings on a 365-acre spread. The museum association was established in North Texas in 1976 as an educational, cultural, and community asset. The American Alliance of Museums accredits this place. It has more than 30,000 visitors each year to tour its historic home and grounds, take part in school tours and field trips, attend seminars and workshops, and attend various events. HFM aims to give people of many ages, preferences, and experiences a journey into the past.
