About | Oakleigh House Museum is One of Mobile's famous attractions, situated minutes from downtown, in the Oakleigh Garden Historic District center. The museum's collection includes over 1,000 artifacts that interpret history in Mobile between 1830-1900. Oakleigh House Museum is the centerpiece of the Oakleigh Historical Complex, a grouping of buildings that contain a working-class raised cottage, Union Barracks, and a modern archives building. The place has mandatory monthly meetings with special guests to assist in developing the skills necessary to become successful association advocates and future historic preservationists. Free for kids under five and HMPS members. |
