It is the 19th-century home & grounds of politician Henry Clay, with tours, exhibits, trails & more. It is dedicated to maintaining the memory of Henry Clay, one of America's greatest statesmen. The original 672-acre estate of celebrated statesman Henry Clay once produced hemp, tobacco, and grain. The restored 18-room home, grounds, and beautiful gardens are open for tourists to explore. Visitors can enjoy the museum outdoors; store opportunities are abundant with a self-guided tour of the outbuildings, formal landscape, walking paths, and Civil War monuments; the grounds are free to visit. Special rates for classes of 10 or more and school groups. It affords free admission for children under five years. |
