About | 'Antelope Valley Indian Museum State Historical Park' is a unique and eclectic folk art building situated in Lancaster. Homesteader/artist H. Arden Edwards initially built the museum in 1928. The Museum is the State Regional Indian Museum of California representing Indian Communities in the Great Basin. The museum contains the holdings of the founder Howard Arden Edwards along with the consequent owner Grace Oliver. The museum displays over 3,000 artifacts, including the Great Basin, California coast, and Antelope Valley. The park features historical grounds, a picnic area, and an outdoor ceremonial arena. 'Antelope Valley Indian Museum State Historical Park' offers 1/2 mile self-guided nature trails and gift shops. |
