AboutNewland House Museum is an ancient residence constructed in the city of Huntington Beach. It is one of 123 historic sites and districts on the National Register of Historic Places in Orange County, California. The house was built in 1898 for settlers William and Mary Newland of Huntington Beach and their ten children. It stretched from Beach Boulevard to Magnolia and from Yorktown south to Atlanta for a whole of 500 acres in which they planted sugar beets, lima beans, celery, and later chili peppers. Newland House Museum is open to the public appreciations of the efforts of the City of Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Historical Society.
