| About | Stillman House Museum is the oldest surviving structure in Brownsville. Today the house is the result of profits made by the Trevino family during their time in the house. The original shutters, windows, and doors are still in place, and the breezy courtyards enjoyed by the Stillman and Trevino families still offer a respite from the hot Texas sun. The Museum contains mid-19th-century furnishings from the Stillman family gathering in the dining room, bedroom, parlor, hallway, kitchen, and the research center stores collections of approximately 2,000 photographs (400+ cataloged). Stillman House Museum offers Free admission for kids under 6, military, BISD students, BHA members & teachers. |
