About	Placerita Canyon Nature Center is a well-developed State Park located on the north slope of the western San Gabriel Mountains in Newhall, CA. It was developed to inspire a passion, awareness, and respect for the environment and preserve and protect for future generations the history and ecosystem of Placerita Canyo. The park is an excellent place to walk around on the many trails and enjoy nature. It has paved the trail leading to the Oak of the Golden Dream and added some of the most signs to give you more info about the area's geology, plants, and history. Placerita Canyon Nature Center also has a beautiful picnic area on the far side of the stream across a small bridge. Visitors can explore wild animal presentations, nature hikes, and self-guided educational trails.
