About	Alum Rock Park is a well-established hiking trail in San Jose. It is one of the oldest municipal parks in California. It covers 720 acres of natural, rugged beauty, which has many outdoor leisure activities, including hiking. The park affords various school programs for kids and other classes and holds a summer camp during June, July, and August months. The creek in the park will be fun, and visitors can take a small boat made of twigs and leaves for a trip on the river that will delight children. Overnight camping for youth groups is allowed with a reservation in the Rustic Lands and Live Oak areas with additional fees. There are about 13 miles of trails, including 6 miles of horse trails and 3 miles of bike trails. Alum Rock Park has water and bathroom facilities.
