About	Golden Gate National Recreation Area is one of the best hiking trails in San Francisco. It has two hundred years of history, ranging from Native American culture to the Spanish Empire frontier and the Mexican Republic to maritime history. The park's very nature shows the influence of the movement for environmental conservation in the 1960s and 1970s. Visitors can enjoy a view, picnic, or benefit from the indigenous cultures of California's centuries of intertwined history. They explore the scenic drives or different points of interest. Take a very long walk, part in a Junior Ranger course, recreate at one of their picturesque sites or consider joining a ranger-led workshop to learn more about these unique places.
