| About | Holy Family Cathedral is one of the historic churches in Anchorage. The church celebrated 106 years as well. The parish has been established in downtown Anchorage since 1915 when railroad construction workers asked Bishop Crimont to send priests for the 30 or so Catholics. The present church was built between 1946 and 1958, and it has been a Cathedral since 1966 when the Archdiocese of Anchorage was created.
