| About | Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium is a hands-on, immersive, science and technology hub. It was opened to the public in 2002. Every year the centre attracts more than 185,000 guests and features a variety of engaging exhibitions targeted at a core group of children aged 12 years. The dome is a state-of-the-art with a 168-seat streaming planetarium. It provides a regular schedule of full-dome films and presenter-led displays. Live shows are demo-led and conducted by the 'Inspirers' team from the centre. Inside the Winchester Science Centre classrooms, the on-site education team provides a range of personalized workshops for primary and high school students. |
