About | The D-Day Story describes the tale of the Battle of Normandy and D-Day. It holds over 10,000 artefacts. It preserves and acquires objects to share with the public through exhibits, seminars and other events. The museum aims to represent the diversity of the culture and communities of the city and to provides people with inspiring opportunities to appreciate and learn from the collections and to highlight the town's national and international heritage. The D-Day Story is one of the six museums run by Portsmouth Museums, part of Portsmouth City Council. From the museum, you can discover the veterans' vehicles, uniforms, medals, records, maps and recording. |
