About | Dalgarven Mill is a great source created in a spectacular rural location in Ayrshire with the group of outstanding historical industrial buildings. The museum was built in 1880 as a historical grain mill. The beautifully preserved building gives the tourist an opportunity to move into the past. You can experience the view and sounds of one of the last functioning water wheels in Scotland, powered by the Garnock River. The exhibits illuminate the lives of past community farmers and related trades. The collections are displayed in the theme. Dalgarven Mill Museum holds over 3,000 objects in the collection dating from 1775 to the present day. |
