| About | Temple Newsam House is one of the most celebrated historic houses. It is also part of the research group, Yorkshire Country House Partnership. In the 18th century, the house was almost completely remodelled. Temple Newsam is filled with 500 years of hidden treasures. The visitors can discover a working farm surrounded by scenic parkland, a historic home and also can take a break and choose the delicious homemade meals and snacks in the tea rooms. For annual open-air entertainment presentations, an amphitheatre near the stables block is used, and for various activities such as Steam Fairs and Dog Shows, the fields to the north of the home farm are used. |
