| About | Bournemouth Natural Science Society & Museum is a Museum of Natural History located in a Victorian building. It houses a fascinating museum of numerous collections, from Natural History to Egyptology. Society has trained and encouraged its members and the general public for more than a hundred years by offering a diverse programme of seminars. It has various archaeological items and a collection of Egyptology in its sarcophagus with a 2500-year-old mummy. Bournemouth Natural Science Society & Museum holds several thousands of late 19th-century photographic slides and two libraries of more than 5000 volumes available for loan and reference. The building grounds include a lovely garden supporting BNSS gardens with pond wildlife in an urban environment. |
