Craignethan Castle poses in a stunning setting with wild surroundings providing glorious panoramas. There is a lovely walk outside the castle down the gorge. Free entry for a child under five and member/explorer pass holder. Their castle's extensive defences include a caponier that vaulted artillery chamber, unique in Britain. |
