| About | Southport Town Hall was designed in the Palladian style and expanded to the rear three times later in the century. In 1859, the house was enlarged to the rear and developed again in 1865 and later in the 19th century. The hall is in two storeys with a basement, and it has a symmetrical front of seven bays. It is registered in the National Heritage List for England and classified as a Grade II listed building. Southport Town Hall has a spectacular carved wood interior, asymmetrical stucco facade with a grand staircase and a beautiful atmosphere. Southport Town Hall forms a group with nearby Grade II listed buildings. |
