It records over 200 years of organising and campaigning by ordinary men and women. The library's collection provides a rich insight into working people's daily lives and their hopes, thoughts, fears and the roles they played in the important events of their time. It also has collections from dozens of trade unions, old and new. The library has 30,000 books and journals, newspapers, pamphlets, leaflets, and other artefacts. The Working Class Movement Library offers free entry to its reading room by appointment and drop-in visits at specific times. |
