About | The Manor Hemingford Grey is a house in the village of Hemingford Grey, United Kingdom. It was built in the 1130s and is one of the earliest inhabited houses in Britain. This house is a grade-I listed heritage building in Huntingdonshire. The Manor house was made famous by its long-term resident, Lucy M. Boston. The upstairs has a room full of atmosphere and the echoes of nearly nine centuries of family communications. The Manor is also an excellent venue for music concerts and theatre. The Manor house is surrounded by four acres of the garden known for its over 200 traditional roses. The gardens, which Lucy Boston laid out, are surrounded by a moat and have topiary, old roses, award-winning irises and herbaceous borders. |
